FileGrab is a browser extension that scans webpages for downloadable files and enables bulk downloading.
DATA COLLECTION
FileGrab does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or browsing information. The extension operates entirely within your browser.
HOW IT WORKS
- When you click the extension icon, it scans the DOM of the current page to identify downloadable files.
- When you click Download, it uses the Chrome Downloads API to save files to your device.
- When you click ZIP, it fetches the selected files in the browser and packages them into a ZIP file locally.
- All processing happens locally in your browser. No data leaves your device.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
FileGrab does not use any third-party services, analytics, tracking, or external servers.
PERMISSIONS USED
- activeTab: To scan the current page when you open the extension
- downloads: To save files to your computer
- scripting: To inject the scanning script into the current page
